Humble beginnings

10 years ago, we could only dream of being where we are now.

Even before we ever took the helm of a sailboat, sailing thought us so much and in the end all the same principles helped us to get where we are now.

Kiki and I (Salsa) didn’t start with a bunch of things we could sell up to buy SV CUBA. Nor did we have an adventurous uncle or aunty, who showed us how to tie a knot and hoist a sail.

We really didn’t know much about sailing and I had only had the chance to spend time on a sailboat for a couple of hours before we made up our mind that living on a boat and travelling is what we want to do.

Sounds crazy – it was!
